Virginia Mayle

April 6, 1942 — July 27, 2022

Philippi, WV

Virginia Marie (Langley) Mayle, age 80, a resident of Philippi, WV., entered her heavenly home peacefully surrounded by her dear family, on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, in the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV, following a brief illness.
She was born into this life on April 6, 1942, in Canton OH., a daughter to the late Stanley Langley, and Evelyn (Short) Langley. Her grandmother Virginia Langley graciously raised her to become the wonderful woman that she was.
Virginia was united in marriage to the love her life, and soul mate Reverend Wilbert Mayle. They had celebrated more than 50 years together.
Surviving are children; Francis "Joe" Schirck III, Angie Matthews, Michelle Mayle-Barth, Danny Mayle, and Loretta Lambert; several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and five great-great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her family being preceded in death by two sisters; Marilyn Baillie, and Carol Klotz; by a daughter, Twila Mayle.
As a child she spread the good news of her lord and savior by attending the Canton Baptist Temple with her grandmother Virginia. Along with her husband, Reverend Wilbert Mayle they started their own church called Gospel of Jesus Christ Ministry, which started out in the family's garage, and ended up on Chestnut Ridge once the church gained more membership. Virginia loved to be the harmony in singing religious songs with her kids and husband. She had a big heart in giving and helping people in need. Virginia will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
In honoring Virginia's wishes, her remains were cremated. A celebration of her life will be held on, Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 2 pm from the Horizons Church 116 Saint John Street Grafton, WV., 26354. Pastor Fred Guidi, and her son Joe Schirck will be the celebrants. The family is requesting photos, written stories, or anecdotes to about their mom for sharing. They would love to hear stories that they may or may not have heard before. The family would like, (if it all possible), you to read and share them during the service. Flowers and monetary contributions aren't necessary, but participation in storytelling would be GREATLY appreciated. Please dress casual no suit and tie are required. The Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting the Mayle Family with the arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.kittlefamilyfh.com.
