Obituary: Teenie Lee Kennedy
Teenie Lee Kennedy, age 56, a resident of Philippi, WV, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at his home, his death was sudden and unexpected.
He was born on June 21, 1965, in Philippi, WV, a son of the late Ernest Kennedy and Barbara (Mayle) Kennedy.
On August 6, 1990, he was united in marriage to Regina G. (Brooks) Kennedy who survives at their home in Philippi.
Teenie is survived by three sons, Tennie Lee Jr. and fiancée, Cierra Collins, Anick Kennedy, and fiancée, Cristin Farley, and Ernest Kennedy and companion, Alyssa Barler, two grandsons, Cayden, and Eli Kennedy, two granddaughters, Natalie, and Aaliyah Kennedy, one sister, Edith Jenrett, his dog, Precious, several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest, and Anthony Scott Kennedy, four sisters, Vannie Croston, Lisa Mayle, Becky Kennedy, and Priscilla Kennedy
Mr. Kennedy attended the schools of Barbour County. He was a Pentecostal by faith and attended People's Chapel Church where he drove the van from time to time picking up folks that had no way to church. Before becoming disabled he worked in construction in Washington D.C. for the government. Tennie enjoyed four-wheeler riding, hunting, and fishing, raising a garden, hanging out with his friends on the streets of Philippi, and most of all he loved his family with his whole heart. Teenie is going to be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will be received at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 1 pm until 9 pm, and again on Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 9 am until 1:30 pm when funeral services will be conducted with the Rev. Ruston Seaman officiating and interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery near Philippi. The Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting the Kennedy Family with the arrangements.
