Obituary: Sherry R. Ward
Sherry Rae (England) Ward, daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Elizabeth (Hunt) England departed this world on November 10, 2021 at 4:18pm in the presence of her loving family to rejoice in the presence of the Lord.
Sherry was born March 14, 1954 in Philippi and on March 4, 1972 she married the one and only love of her life, Jesse L. Ward who survives in Philippi, they had 53 wonderful years together, including the time they dated. Together they have one daughter, Buffe R (Ward) Brewer, Belington, who along with her grandchildren, Nathaniel Wayne and Gabrielle Faith Brewer were the light of her life. Sherry also leaves behind her furbaby Rambi, that she cherished for the past four years. She also had four special people in her life that she considered and treated like her family as well, Ryan Wolfe, Wayne Brewer, Kiley Calain and Noah Ward, she loved them like her own. Anyone that knew and talked to Sherry knew they were going to hear either Rambi or family stories as she was so proud of them.
Sherry is survived by a brother Truman (Sandy) England, Philippi and two sisters, Janet (Robert) Poling, Philippi and Carolyn Teets, Buckhannon and was preceded in death by her grandparents, in laws brother Slim England and sister Donna Yocum, along with aunts, uncles, a nephew, several extended family and friends.
When it came to sewing or baking Sherry was as talented as they come and enjoyed doing both very much and enjoyed sharing her talents with those around her. Sherry also loved to quilt and crochet and has made many friends and family some beautiful keepsakes that will be cherished.
When you couldn't find Sherry "front porch sittin" she was probably camping, enjoying a drive looking at the scenery or out on the side by side three of her favorite activities. Sundays will not be the same without Sherry as those are family dinner days, as she would cook for everyone every week along with holidays and birthdays. Sherry will be missed by many but none more than her husband, daughter, grandchildren and four extra family members.
The family will receive friends at Kittle Family Funeral Home, 265 Beech Ave, Philippi, WV on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 4pm to 9pm and again on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 9am to noon with a service being held at noon with the Reverend Joe Bowen officiating. Sherry's wishes of cremation will be honored so there will be no graveside service. The Kittle Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Ward family.
