Obituary: Jeffrey Luke Mayle

Jeffrey Luke Mayle, 62, a resident of Canton, OH passed away on August 30, 2021, in United Hospital Center in while under the care of WVU Medicine Hospice surrounded by his family. He had been in his usual health and his death was unexpected.
He was born on February 19, 1959 in Philippi, WV, to James "Dump" Mayle and the late Dorothy (Boylen) Mayle.
Luke married the former Mary M. (Hatfield) Mayle on February 7, 1998. The couple had 5 children, Jeffery Luke Mayle Jr., Jonathan Davis, Jordyn McDaniel, Julia Hatfield (Stanley) Newman , Markus (Brooke) Mayle. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Brothers, Mark Mayle and John Mayle one sister Libby Poling and her late husband Mike. Uncles, Arnold(Emma)Boylen, Thomas "Skeet" (Judy) Boylen, Russel Boylen, Frank (Sandy) Boylen, Samuel Junior Boylen and companion Sara Jones. Aunts, Cora (Terry) Mayle and Flo Ann Mayle. Many nieces,nephews and cousins.
Mr. Mayle attended the schools of Barbour County. He started his career as a Supervisor Industrial Tube and Steel in Akron OH., until he became disabled. He loved to watch westerns on TV, riding his motorcycle, listening to preachers on his phone, bear hunting and he really loved his grandchildren. He will be missed by all those who loved him.
The family will receive friends at the Kittle Family Funeral Home, 265 Beech Ave., Philippi on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 3 pm until 9 pm and again on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 9am until 1 pm. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ron Mayle officiating and interment will follow in the Mayle Family Cemetery near Philippi.
