Obituary: E. Ricky Kennedy
Enoch Ricky Kennedy, age 69, a resident of Moatsville, WV, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 27, 2022, surrounded by his family, in the United Hospital Center, in Bridgeport, WV., following a brief illness.
He was born into this life on June 27, 1952, in Philippi, WV., a son to the late Jesse Kennedy and Beulah Mae (Croston) Kennedy.
On May 30, 1972, he was untied in marriage to the love of his life, Connie (Mayle) Kennedy, who survives at their home in Moatsville, WV.
Ricky is survived by son; Allan Kennedy and wife, Melissa, of Moatsville; one granddaughter; Haley Kennedy, Moatsville, WV; two sons that he thought of his own; Chad Mayle, and Sean Poe; one brother; Teddy Kennedy, and wife Trish; mother-in-law; Minnie Mayle; sister-in-law; Opal "Mickey" Mayle; his best buddy, Robbie Miner; K-9 companion, Buddy. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Hanson "Duke" Kennedy, Fax Kennedy, and Emwood Kennedy.
Mr. Kennedy attended the schools of Barbour County. He worked in the Coal Mines most of his life. Rick loved to fish, collect glass bottles, antiques, playing guitar, and he loved making and baking his own pizza from scratch, according to his family it had to be perfect in Rick's eyes from the crust to the sauce. Rick was a wonderful man and he will be missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Rick's wishes for cremation will be honored. The Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting the Kennedy Family with the arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.kittlefamilyfh.com.
