Tammy Rae (Poling) Crites, age 58, a resident of Beverly, WV., passed away peacefully at Mansfield Place in Philippi, WV., where she had been a patient for just a little over a month on Saturday, January 6, 2024, she was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, and a genuine friend. Following an extended illness.
She was born on December 20, 1965, in Clarksburg, WV, to her loving mother Linda Lou (Demastus) Poling and the late Ray Floyd Poling.
Tammy was a kind-hearted and compassionate soul who dedicated her life to her family and their happiness. As a dedicated homemaker, her warmth and nurturing nature were felt by all who knew her. Her unwavering love and devotion were particularly evident in the bond she shared with her children and grandchildren.
Tammy's memory will forever be cherished by her son Nathaniel Crites, and fiancé Breanne Goldsmith, her daughter Alexandria Crites, and her grandchildren Hanna Crites, Hunter Crites, Marissa Crites, Gunnar Crites, Brielle Todd, and Miah Todd. Her sister Diana Owens also mourns her loss deeply. A special friend and caregiver Michelle Marrs. Tammy's presence in their lives will be sorely missed, but her love and affection will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
Besides her father she was preceded in death by her nephew, Jason Owens.
A woman of simple pleasures, Tammy found joy in the little things in life. She loved cooking delicious meals for her family. Her gentle spirit and infectious laughter brightened the lives of those around her. She was a Pentecostal by faith, loved her cats, coffee, and chatting with her friends.
In honor of Tammy's life, a celebration of life will be held at the Nutter Fort Christian Assembly Church 316 Buckhannon Pike, Nutter Fort, WV., on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM with Pastor Mike Player officiating. Family and friends will be invited to join together to celebrate a life well-lived and to offer their final farewells. The ceremony will be filled with memories, shared stories, and a profound sense of gratitude for having been touched by Tammy's presence.
