Sharon Norris

Sharon Elizabeth (Croston) Norris, age 76, a resident of Philippi WV, went home to be with her Lord and Savior early Sunday morning, June 4, 2023, in the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport following a brief illness.

She was born on March 19, 1947, in Akron, OH., a daughter to the late Harvey Croston, and Thelma (Mayle) Croston.

On November 3, 1963, she was united in marriage to Kermit Norris who preceded her in death.

Sharon leaves behind her children, Kimberly Keefer, and husband Ritchie, Kelly Norris, and wife Jeannie, Melissa Strahin, and husband Kelly "Joey", Justin Norris, and wife Stephanie, Megan Pennington, and husband Justin; a son in law, Robert Cale Jr. a sister, Erma Mayle; fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. K9 kids, Scarty Cat, and Sunshine.

Preceding her death, a daughter; Stacy (Norris) Cale; siblings, Joyce Beane, Leonard Croston, Butch Croston, and Vicki Matthews.

Mrs. Norris was a Pentecostal by faith she was a member of the Ford Run Pentecostal Church, was a home maker, employed by the Barbour County Senior Center. Sharon loved taking care of the family doing puzzles, loved to work in flower beds, and gardening. She loved going to church, and most of all her and the daughters hardly ever missed going to the area funeral homes, and some out of state to visit people she loved and cared for. Sharon was a wonderful woman and will be missed by all that knew her and loved her.

The family will be receiving friends at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi from 5 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, and again on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 8 am until 8 pm. On Thursday June 8, 2023, from 9 am until 1 pm at the Ford Run Pentecostal Church where funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm with Pastor Jacob Smithmeyer officiating and interment will follow in the Norris Family Cemetery.
